Charitable Support

Kirkwood Hospice is the local hospice in Kirklees (the area within West Yorkshire in which Mosaic are based). The hospice provides specialist palliative care for those people in Kirklees facing a life-threatening illness, from which they will not recover. They are able to help wtih symptom control, emotional support or rehabilitation following diagnosis or treatment and they also care for those who are close to the end of their life. Care and support is also given to the relatives and friends of those using the services both during the patient's illness and in bereavement.
The Hospice require over £10,700 per DAY to offer these services and 80% of this income is through voluntary donations.
Mosaic Virtual Office support the Hospice and raise money in a variety of ways:
Midnight Memory WalkOn Saturday 20th June 4 of us took part in the Midnight Memory Walk as The Mosaic Team. We walked over 10 miles setting off at midnight and the slower half of the team completed by 3.50am. It was all road walking and was a hard 10 miles but we raised £220 + £50.77 gift aid for our efforts.
It’s a KnockoutOn Saturday 11th July 3 of us were in the B4B Team at It’s a Knockout. We were one of 27 teams that had a wet but fun day doing bizarre things on inflatables! The Mosaic team raised sponsorship of £225 + £36.67 gift aid for this event.
Blue Bag Collection for Charity Shops
The Hospice provide blue bags for collection of items for their 13 charity shops. Members of Mosaic staff have filled bags and also encouraged other offices in the building to take blue bags to fill with appropriate items.
