Mosaic Virtual Office was set up by Sarah Gathercole in Spring 2006 to offer flexible secretarial & admin support to small & medium-size businesses that don't have their own in-house secretaries/administrators.
By Autumn 2006 it was clear that telephone answering needed to be added to the list of services offered. Following investigation into the best way to do this, Sarah decided to take on staff and offer the service in-house, as this gave her the flexibility to offer much more than a message-taking service and the ability to tailor-make the package for each client.
Mosaic Virtual Office is not a large call-centre environment and never will be. We do not want to offer an anonymous message-taking service. Rather we offer a personalised support service to businesses who want to work with us as an extension to their in-house team. We get to know our clients and their business so that when we answer their calls we sound like a knowledgeable member of the team and the caller isn’t left with the impression that they’ve just left a message with a call-centre.
We can carry out as much and as varied work as the customer requires and as our knowledge of your business grows we will offer advice on systems, document content & layout, etc as you would expect from a professional PA.
As part of the process of us getting to know our customers and visa-versa, every new customer is asked to complete a questionnaire about their business and they are sent an introduction to the team members here at Mosaic. We also have a customer gallery on the office wall so we ask new customers to send a photo of their team – this helps us to put faces to names and know who we are working for.
